The complete Leh-Ladakh circuit Itinerary

As we have mentioned many times across many conversations that Ladakh was the first destination on our travel bucket list and we were super elated to strike it off. So, obviously, we were planning for it for eternity! We read numerous blogs, went through so many itineraries, and made our own, which we thought was ideal. Once that happened, we started looking for aggregators, who could help us with all the necessary arrangements. The itinerary that we wanted wasn't readily available and the ones ready to customize it, were charging a bomb (literally).

Finally, we got to know that one of our dear friends conducts Leh-Ladakh guided tours for small groups. We asked him for the Leh Ladakh itinerary and budget, and guess what? It was a perfect match for both things; and before we knew, plans were set, the date decided and the excruciating wait began :( We literally had a countdown rolling for about 6 months, but all worth it... So without further ado, let us take you through our Leh Ladakh itinerary.

Here's an overview of the Leh Ladakh itinerary we followed in a nutshell:

Day 1 - Mumbai(your city) - Srinagar - Sonmarg
Day 2 - Sonmarg - Drass - Kargil - Lamayuru - Leh
Day 3 - Rest Day for Acclimatization.
Day 4 - Leh - Khardungl La - Nubra Valley - Turtuk
Day 5 - Turtuk sightseeing
Day 6 - Turtuk - Nubra Valley - Leh 
Day 7 - Day visit to Pangong Lake
Day 8 - Leh - Jispa
Day 9 - Jispa - Rohtang Pass - Manali
Day 10 - Manali sightseeing - Solang Valley visit - Night Departure Manali - Delhi
Day 11 - Reach Delhi after an overnight journey and take a flight back to Mumbai.

Here are some things you may consider adding in case you have more days-

• Stay a day in Srinagar to explore and experience the houseboats on Dal Lake

• Kargil also has quite some interesting villages and staying a night there is also recommended

• Stay a night in Pangong at a campsite

• Go for a day's visit to Tso Moriri Lake
